The story of a photographer

Hi, I am Nikki! I have been photographing women and families for the past 7 years. I have always felt my images deep inside my soul and love sharing this so my clients can have the same feelings when they see their images.

I grew up in Summerland, BC and have been here my whole life. I feel extremely lucky to live here and get to experience the mountains, rivers, open fields, flowers, vineyards. We truly live in THE most beautiful place.

You can find me hiking in the spring/summer/fall with my dogs and my daughter. I love being outdoors, meeting and connecting with other people and being a part of anyone's journey.

Did I mention I LOVE to make people feel amazing. That's part of why I am so passionate about boudoir. I am highly empathetic and that is part of the reason I can connect with my clients on a much deeper level.

The name Wild Thistle came to me after years of wanting the perfect name (for me). I am wild, I love the word wild. Thistle was my dog. At the time we lived on a farm and it was riddled with Wild Thistles. They are purple. I LOVE purple!!!.. I felt like this was a sign and I have never regret the name and have had it ever since.
